A break from mle

something struck me today. i guessed i was in a dreamy mode thru the day probably due to heavy readings for the past 3 days. (yes, finally scanned thru the whole mle tb. note: scanned thru onli.)

so here goes. i rmbed i was consoling a girlfriend of mine who got heartbroken sometime back. for everything she said, i'll just tell her tt the guy was a jerk, some bastard, an idiot and stuff. just trying to find fault with the other party, thou sometimes i'll tell her tt it could be her own fault too. then a few weeks later, she came to me and thanked me for all the support tt i had given her and tt she felt much much better. then she said: thank you biyi. without you, i dun think i can hate tt guy so much. for a moment i tot i heard wrongly. but she said, no, hating him makes me love him less. so i can get over him faster.

this makes me ponder. spending so much time and effort on one person, telling each other how much u love them, and eventually, u tried hating them. isn't it ironic? i know she's not the onli person doing that coz i have seen quite alot of similar cases. its onli until you see the end, then you realised that the process was all crap? no wonder ppl said love is blind. coz after a while u discovered that the person beside you weren't realli the one you were looking for. so what is love when you can keep changing partners like musical chairs?

my sister once told me that we were all youngsters and not ready to settle down, which i tot was very true after my failed attempt to neglect her words. we are all looking for something new and interesting, and when we find it, we play with it, until we are tired of it. and the whole cycle repeats itself. many ppl like to fantasise abt the future with their partners (which i was found guilty of committing tt too). but note: its fantasise. not a promised commitment. so if you realise tt you are falling deeper and deeper into this black hole, do know when to pull out and return to reality.

i still have lotsa tots gg thru my mind but i think i'll pause here and continue thinking bout my mle.

and anw, happy birthday to xiu wen (thou she won't be seeing this). and congrats to rj chinese dance for being the onli jc clinching the gold with honours award. =D great job!
