hi everyone out there!!! can you believe it?! i neglected my blog for a year and 4 months! that's totally lame. and now i'm back again coz i suddenly remembered that i do have this blog! so let me just summarise wad happened last year in just a few paragraphs n pictures...hahaz:
2005 recollections:
lets start from the beginning for the year, the first major thing tt happened was e gala moving house of rj to the bishan campus. hahaz, it was fun, i got to represent dance to carry tt flag thing all the way from the mt sinai campus, into the one stop mrt, to the bishan campus. lotsa reporters there, hahaz, i managed to snatch a shot for myself on the channel 8 news. heez. e new bishan campus was real nice, big, spacious, classy, and best of all, it was new! my batch was the 1 st batch to start the bishan campus operating, and the 1 st batch to vandalise all the tables and chairs... (-_-"")
den there was the chinese new year dance, which kinda screwed up...my dancers were choosing the dance piece which we were supposed to chronograph ourselves thanks to e disappearance act by our coach. we had some arguements but eventually fixed a dai tribe piece. we practiced quite hard, attributed to the trouble makers as usual, and on the day itself, the dance was actually quite disappointing and a laughing stock for most audience. there's nothing wrong with wearing pink nylon clothes, accompanied by yellow umbrellas and an orchid on the head, is there?
during new year, i managed to go to my darling's house to bai nian, it was the first time i really stepped into his house. it was small...less than half of my house. i was too afraid to go aniwhere so i only sat in the living room and chatted with his parents.
after tt new year, life was quite busy because my dance was recruiting new members. we managed to held an audition which turned out to be quite successful since the j1 were all interested to take a peek in the dance studio. despite so, we only chose a few competent ones coz tt year was an impt one. it was the syf year, and our coach had not even chronograph a shit yet. and so, after the audition, practice started immediately and we were all on our feet, dancing like shit everyday. that 3 months before the syf was really sucky, because we practiced from 3pm everyday till 9pm. and this was the period where i had some problems with my darling ninja. as i had little time with him, i felt like we were drifting apart, and it was made worse due to my suspecting heart. i was worried that he would get too close to his god sis and gal juniors who were in j1, and i made a big fuss over it. luckily nothing serious happened. and we managed to get thru another challenge again. the vday tt year was pathetic coz we only had dinner in swensens (again) after my dance practice, and we exchanged presents in school, kissed each other goodnite and end our day early as there was school the following morning.
and so, nothing much really happened (or is it becoz i couldn't really recall anithing significant?) practices were like shit and finally, syf was here. on tt day, ah gurz and kimo went down to watch anderson sec compete, but it just so happened that rj was on tt day too, so they stayed to watch the jc catergory. i made some mistakes tt day, but eventually, we managed to clinch the most honourable award - gold with honours. the dance troupe burst into tears and after tt, me and my dance committee went to starbucks to celebrate the joyous moment. e modern dance club din even touch tt award. hahaz, serve them right for looking down on ethnic dances!
following tt, it was mostly about dance night 2005. it was quite a lousy one because we were forced to use our school's performing arts theatre which is so tiny and unbelieveably ill-equipped. hence there were alot of preparation work to do. this time, i decided to retreat to the backstage coz i wanna earn more points, hahaz, and i wanna try out new experience too. my role in dance night was therefore an assistant backstage manager and a performer. i had such great authority that i can't help laughing to myself. haz. we had long practices again and one of our performing dates (there's a total of 4 days, 5 shows) was on fri 13 - quite a number of screw ups tt day. other than tt, everything was rather smooth sailing.
now we jump to the next interesting event that took place not long after the end of dance night, which was also the end of my vice chair days in chinese dance. i went on a shanghai trip together with another 33 geography and economics students, including my ninja and 2 of my dance juniors in the june holidays. it was a 9 days trip, expected quite a lot but in the end, there wasn't much to do there other than visiting schools and going shopping. we had a really bad tour guide and really lousy food. the best food i had eaten was yoshinoya...pathetic...i remembered during a school visit, my ninja was rather popular among the school gals there and i wasn't so happy about it...we had a small quarrel but was ressolved coz my junior (also his junior when he was in red cross), pitied him. can't imagine why my honey was so popular among girls~! still, we managed to get home safely, though a rotten trip, it was quite an experience~
when we came home, it was already time for preparations for prelims and A levels. ninja's bday was on the last day of june hol (e next next day got exam!) so we din had an elaborated celebration. we just went east coast and cycled, catch a movie, had dinner, cut cake at my house balcony n tt's it. time just zoomed passed during that period of time and i had been working really hard especially on my chemistry, after i flung it totally in the prelims for an unknown reason. it was really hectic and life was really all about mugging. soon the time came when we entered the exam halls. i couldn't really recall the papers now and i don't want to coz it was really difficult and i was feeling really lost after all those papers. and soon, it was over. and my bday was around the corner. my ninja had his last s paper on the eve of my bday, but still he managed to prepare presents and plans...
i celebrated my bday in sentosa. it was the best birthday ever man! i hadn't been to sen
tosa for quite some time and i always wanted to go there. on tt day, we went to the dolphin lagoon, underwater world, musical fountain, pub at the beach where we watched belly dancing, ate at sakae sushi and cut my green tea cake by the sea shore. the amazing thing was tt we managed to return home at twelve midnite. and i was so glad with the day. love my ninja lots!
in december, there was this rj party at china black. i was initially reluctant to go as i was sick, but my ninja seemed all excited about it. so i just tagged along. however it clashed with my 4/4 gathering, so i had to go there late, and i couldn't join the guys to dota, quite upsetting. when we reached tt place, it was all smoky, dark and noisy. it made a sick girl more sick. so i din stay there till morning but quickly left for home around 1am.
one week later, it was my prom nite. it was held at ritz carlton hotel, on the 10th of dec. i wore my sis's gown as usual, and i realised i dressed really simple. all the other gowns easily outshone mine. ninja was wearing his suit which i chose for him (we shopped the whole day for his stuff man!) the prom was quite sian, everyone was taking photo and the food was left there untouched until it turned cold. it felt more like a fashion show than a prom. wad happened after the prom was the more important part. the whole event ended at ard 12am. the guys decided to stay out to chiong dota and i was included~ damn shiok siah, we chiong dota from 1am straight to 7am. i had never tried this b4 and it was damn fun and worrying at the same time coz my parents kept calling to urge me to go home. i'm a gal after all.
after prom, i did not have much stuff to do so i started looking for jobs desperately. i finally found one job as a customer service officer in bloomdale - a hamper and gift company like noel. it was my first job so i was quite silly to accept terms that were very questionable. i "signed" an oral contract with my boss for 2 months, thru the christmas season and the chinese new year season. it was hell man. hahaz, but i managed to pull through and i swear i never want to go back there again despite my boss's relentless effort to keep me.
during christmas, my sis's bf and my ninja was invited by my parents to stay overnite in my house. although we were not christians, we had a big dinner tt day and exchanged many many presents. everyone was happy. and my happiest thing was that i had a new phone which was finally working after going down to the m1 shop to change the sim card for the past 2 weeks. it's my favourite baby newgen phone, so sleak, so cute. suitable for a gal like me~
time passed quickly and the end of 2005 was close. there was this countdown party in marina bay which me and ninja went to for the first time. it was really crowded like shit and we stood there for 2 hours waiting for the fireworks to start. the fireworks was really brilliant and magnificent. it lasted for 20 minutes. i had 10s of it taken down in my newgen. wen the whole party ended a t 12.20am, there was such a great jam at the mrt that we ended up taking the 1am train. siao siah. but still, it was a great atmosphere to countdown and welcome 2006.
